Exciting Updates from the 2018 Lenten Breakfast Kickoff
Over 110 persons gathered at the Metro Ministries Lenten Breakfast Kick off on Saturday, February 17. A wonderful hot breakfast was served by University of Indianapolis dining services.
The Reverend Rodney Frieden, senior pastor at Epworth United Methodist Church, shared with us a wonderful and inspirational message.  Go forth… focusing on the United Methodist Church Four Areas of Focus.
We were challenged to find a place to serve – and get to know someone you are serving! Examine your mission work…. Do you have a partnership? Are you building relationships? We are called not to try to fix a problem but to get to know someone. “You will change a life – caution - it might be your own."
Rev. Frieden closed his message with a further challenge and invitation to learn more about this approach by joining him on a Mission Education Trip in 2019 to Guatemala.  “I have learned more about how to do mission in the local setting of the Church. This trip will help you discover the lessons of partnership and relationships… and inspire you to work in your own community.”
