How to Connect
How Does Metro Ministries Make Connections?
Wesley United Methodist Church’s Pastor Katurah Johnson, DeeEllen Davis (Refugee Faith Care Team, Wesley UMC) invites Central District congregations to partner with them by participating in a home shower for their members Obur Omod and his wife, Kom Gillo. One of the amazing ministries at Wesley United Methodist Church is their hospitality to their ambassadors from several African countries that are part of the Wesley congregation.

METRO CAN HELP YOU GET INVOLVED WHEN:

  • You or your church wants to be more involved in the community, but you don't know how to start.
  • You need a speaker to help motivate your congregation to get more involved in the community.
  • You need to reconnect with a ministry your church worked with in the past.
  • You want to hold a food drive but not sure where to donate.
  • Your church wants to volunteer for local missions but you aren't sure where to go.

METRO CAN HELP YOUR MINISTRY, PROGRAM, OR ORGANIZATION WHEN:

  • You need information about potential funding sources.
  • You need help getting the word out about your fundraising event.
  • You want to apply for a grant with Metro Ministries.
  • You recognize a need in your community and you want help addressing it.
  • You need partners to help you launch a new project.

These are just a few examples of questions that Metro Ministries can help answer. We are here to connect resources to ministries! Contact Tina McAninch by email, metrodirector1923@gmail.com, or by phone, 317-452-4786, for guidance around these or similar questions.
