Partners from the United Methodist Community

Things have been full and wonderful at the Habitat office. Already in 2017, we have blessed and dedicated 3 homes. Today we started another home making 6 currently under construction as we work toward partnering with 27 families this year. That is an increase from 21 last year!

Many of you have partnered with Habitat for many years and have been a big part God’s work through our mission over the last 30 years. For many years we did a “United Methodist Build.” Many of you participated in this expanded initiative in 2016 that united 15 UMC congregations alongside other congregations in Indy. The result was 50+ congregations working together to build and fund 2 homes! You can see blog posts on the Interfaith initiative here.

Church partnerships are the heart of Habitat’s mission and the UMC community has been at the center of that. Whether you are involved with other congregations on the Interfaith Build or individually as a congregation, you are appreciated! As we move forward, I’d like to introduce Joel Reichenbach who is now working with all congregations. Before being on staff, Joel was a volunteer with Habitat and previously worked at K-Love radio. Contact information for Joel is below. If you would like to receive future communication and have your church involved, please let Joel or myself know so we keep you on the communication list!

Thank you for your partnership in ministry as we work to build homes, communities, and hope as an expression of God’s love with our neighbors. We appreciate your prayerful, continued support and look forward to hearing from you.
