MATCHING GRANTS

Abundant Harvest United Methodist Church - A matching grant was given to Abundant Harvest for the purpose of renovating their sanctuary. The expected change is to embrace the artistic and technological flair of the generation Y. As a part of The Vital Congregations goal setting they will measure the number of individuals and families in the 22-40 year age range.  Their goal is to add five families with children and ten individual/couples in this age range by the end of 2012.

Habitat for Humanity Central Indiana UMC Build - Metro Ministries partnered with United Methodist Churches in Central Indiana -- taking the fundraising over the top for the 2011 build in the Fletcher Place neighborhood.

Still Waters Adult Day Center - Lisa Morris, Executive Director, began working with leadership and persons envisioning a new ministry at Castleton United Methodist Church, Central District, Indianapolis in July 2009.  Metro Ministries Board recognizes this ministry as a model for other churches interested in providing support for adults that need supervised care and respite for  their caregivers.

Old Bethel United Methodist Church Bible Fun Hour - This is a ministry touching residents at a nearby Nottingham Village  Apartments where crime and arson fires have taken the safety away from children and families.  The Bible Fun Hour team bring snacks, crafts, games, Bible lessons and love to the children and families of Nottingham Village Apartments.
