Metro Ministries, Inc. Board of Directors selected Lisa G. Morris as the Executive Director,  following a six month interim position as Executive Director.  Lisa has 32 years of experience as the Administrative Assistant to Metro Ministries.  During this time transiton with Metro Ministries she is leading the  Metro Ministries Core Planning team working with the Metro Ministries Board of Directors on setting a strategic agenda for the organization's future.  

"The visioning and imagining for Metro Ministries has begun - I hope to see Metro Ministries as a mission, ministry and resourcing agency in the Indiana Conference," she says. "I plan not to be sitting in meetings; rather in the local church and mission agencies volunteering, learning and coming back to the Board of Directors with action solutions to needs in the local church and communities."

Lisa is married to Steve, and they have one son in graduate school.  She is a member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church serving most recently as mission chair and interim treasurer.  

She is visiting the United Methodist Churches in the Central District as well as other churches within the Indiana Conference and is available to speak at the local churches about Metro Ministries, mission and ministries in 2010.
